4 Foods to Avoid For Quick Weight Loss
Losing weight is easy if you adopt a proper and systematic way to go about doing this. It is not as tough as most people think at all. The reason why most people failed at losing the weight that they desired is because they adopted “fad diets”. These types of diet plans may help you to lose weight quickly initially but once you have reverted to your normal lifestyle, you will gain back all the weight that you lost. And at times, you might even get a “bonus” as well. In order for you to have an effective weight loss program, plan it with a long-term objective in mind rather than short term goals. Below I will show how you can go about your weight loss program with the long-term objectives in mind.
1. Starchy & Processed foods are to be avoided. Starchy foods have extremely high sugar contents that in term are easily and quickly converted to glucose by the body. Burning glucose by the body cells is how our body produces energy. But when you take too much sugar, not all the glucose are burnt, instead the excess glucose are then changed to fats and stored in the body. This is the main reason why and how we get fat from eating starchy foods. Change your diet to include foods, which has more fiber in them instead. Food like grains, nuts, legumes, wheat, whole grains etc are good substitutes.
This is also the reason why you should avoid eating at fast food restaurants, because most of the foods supplied in these restaurants are rich in starch!
2. Avoid Alcohol: Although regarded as a type of food in most western countries, Alcoholic drinks like beer are very high in calories. The more that you consume, the more weight that you will gained. And also, soda have very high carbohydrates content as well which you should also avoid.
3.Have small meals but frequent meals. A proper effective weight loss program will encompass a total lifestyle change. It will not be just about changing a few small habits in our daily routine. You will need to adopt major changes like the number of times that you have your meals. Have instead 5 to 6 small meals daily instead of 3 big meals. By changing the way and the numbers of time that you eat, this will help the body burn the calories for efficiently. And also the metabolism rate of your body will constantly be high helping to burn glucose as energy more effectively. In the end, you will lose weight very quickly.
4.Soft drinks are also to be avoided. Soft drinks are made from water mixed with sugar and artificial flavorings. When you drink a lot of soft drinks, you are consuming what we call “empty calories”. To get rid of these calories, a single bottle of soft drink requires you to exercise for at least 30 minutes on a treadmill. So if one is not the type which usually likes to exercise, then Imagine drinking 3 to 4 bottles of soft drinks per day can do to your weight!
