Orange County Interior Design: Staycations - the Newest Rage!

Orange County Interior Design: Staycations - the Newest Rage!

by Vickie Daeley

Orange County, California, is a wonderful site for just staying at home, enjoying the fabulous views, the terrific weather, great outdoor cafes and all the amenities provided by this beautiful state.

Other than the South of France, perhaps, California has one of the few resort-like atmospheres in the world. We should count our blessings daily!

Think out of the box this year … try staying home instead of spending your money on an out-of-town vacation. Why not create a vacation-like atmosphere in the privacy of your own space? Something you will be able to enjoy for a long time — a staycation.

With all the wonderful possibilities available, entertaining can now be simple, fun and even inexpensive. If cooking is not your thing, consider having your dinner or luncheon catered. With all the choices of excellent caterers at your fingertips, this is definitely a hot option. Feeling a bit low? Call an esthetician or masseuse to give you a special treat in the privacy of your own home. Check out the local concerts, plays and take a stroll through the nearest bookstore. Relearn your community!

Why would Californians need to vacation elsewhere every year? Perhaps we need to reevaluate, stay home, get reacquainted with our family, our friends, our co-workers. Slow down and allow your home to be the escape oasis that your really need.

Sit back, take a deep breath and realize that time passes quickly. Children eventually leave home, friends sometimes move … these are precious times not to be lost. Make your home into that luxurious abode that all the important people in your life will appreciate as much as you will.

Remember how exhausted you were when you returned from your last vacation? Sometimes it hardly seems worth the effort and expense.

Now may be the perfect time for you to consider acting on this proposition. Call a professional interior designer for unique ideas on where to start making your home into the fun, cozy retreat that you would love.

The sky’s the limit. Use your imagination. What would you really like to do if you could? Think it through … consider making your home your vacation site.
